The ‘Blauwe Kroon’ warehouse, built in 1631 and situated in one of Amsterdam’s most prestigious canals, was overhauled by JM Styling from its original state of neglect. A decision was taken to retain the most iconic feature in this 180m2 space; the monumental and self-supporting wooden construction to remain fully visible and central. The beams formed an open structure from which rooms naturally flowed, whilst wide oak wooden slats stretched the entire surface floor. Antique-sourced elements evoke a nostalgic atmosphere.
