On a small island in the Mediterranean, JM Styling restyled a loft located in a medieval fortress built by the Knights of St John. Pre-existing white marble floors and woodwork formed the basis of the interior. The bright, open and spacious atmosphere was curated with mid-century sculptural design objects to contrast with the antiquity of the limestone exterior. Vitra and Artifort pieces - Panton and Tulip chairs and Panthella lamp with plants and wicker accessories combine to give this space its contemporary character. Photography: Michelle Gauci
